ABOUT

I am the mathematics and science special education teacher for grades 9-12.

I am a huge proponent of consistent and open communication.

Parents, students, teachers, and AMHS community members alike are invited into Room 233.

Schedule

I am in mathematics or science classrooms throughout the day. I am also in Academic Support classes, Room 233. My door is always open.

I am available after school until 3 pm; I'm also happy to stay later.

If mornings are preferable, we can arrange a meeting beforehand, please just let me know in advance.

AS Goals

To create a productive and safe space to complete work.

To provide additional and individual support on concepts learned in class.

To collaborate with others as a means to strengthen knowledge and learning.

To build confidence in one's own abilities to learn and to contribute to the classroom and community.

Communication

The most effective and direct way to reach me is through email.

I check email regularly and respond within 24 hours.

I can be reached via phone if you contact the main office.

I am available to speak before school and after school.

Meetings by phone or in person can be arranged in advance.

Tidbits

If I daydream I usually play tetris in my head... and I don't always win.

I played varsity volleyball in high school and in California for college.

I have traveled to 11 countries; Turkey and Ethiopia are tied for favorite.

I had two pet hedgehogs named Spinelli and Zorro; Spinelli was an albino.
